We all have an energy factory within our cells, this energy factory is called mitochondria. In fact, in one day your mitochondria produces enough energy to charge more than 2 million cell phones! Here in the lab at the Biology Department, we study how this energy factory, the mitochondria, works and its implication in several diseases, such as cancer, and try to develop strategies to tackle such diseases down. In this video we talk about how this energy factory is built, and its importance.
